Bentley Motors graduates are to stage an auction of handcrafted collector's items in a fundraising event for The Prince's Trust. Workers from the Tooling, Woodshop and Styling teams at the manufacturer have crafted around 20 different stylish and high-end products to auction off online in aid of the UK youth charity, which is headed by the Prince of Wales and provides practical and financial support to 14 to 30-year-olds. Display items include a chess set with pieces tooled from aluminum set on a classy veneered board and a table crafted from a polished V8 engine from the Bentley Mulsanne and a cutlery set commissioned by Robert Welch, engraved with the Bentley emblem.
Citroen DS5 - now on sale
The new Citroen DS5 goes on sale in the UK today, with prices starting at £22,400 for the DSign e-HDi 110 Airdream EGS6. Citroen revealed prices for the DS5 in the UK at the start of February, but at that time the DS5 wasn’t officially on sale. But now it is, with orders being taken for Citroen’s latest DS model.
General Motors resisted the urge to jack up the price on the 2014 Corvette Stingray, despite major enhancements on the seventh-generation sports car. The $51,995* sticker for the coupe, which is expected to hit showrooms by September, is just 1,400 bucks more than the current model, even with its more powerful engine, better fuel economy and vastly improved interior.
